As we begin the new year, we’re excited to bring you a new way to communicate with your community! In this month’s release, we’ll share details about our new Postal Mailing Integration with EverView (formerly Optimal/South Data).
Postal Mailing Integration with EverView
Earlier, we introduced a PDF letter generation feature enabling you to create and download letters in batches and upload them to a third-party platform like EverView (formerly OSG) for postal mailing. We’re happy to announce that our new integration with EverView now streamlines that process, so you no longer need to manually upload the letters. With our new integration, you can automatically send your letters to EverView for printing and mailing.
Why Pilera & Everview Integration?
Pilera’s advanced recipient segmentation and branding options combined with EverView’s reliable postal mailing platform get your letters delivered how you want. Additionally, through our Message Center, you can even confirm that your letters were uploaded to EverView (formerly OSG).
How much does it cost?
Pilera offers client-level and individual community plans for automated phone and text. If your company already uses this plan, the postal mailing integration is available to you now and will cost 1 credit per recipient. Please note that EverView (formerly OSG) does charge its own rates.

Other Enhancements
Resident Report updates
We’ve added new fields to the Resident Report to allow for easier browsing and sorting of important data. Managers can now view:
- If the phone number listed is a home, work, and/or cell number.
- When a resident’s contact information was last updated.
- When the resident was added to Pilera.

New Features
Physical mailing is now available for all integrations!
Last month, we introduced the first look of our new Physical Mailing feature for Jenark and nonintegrated clients. We’re excited to announce that the new Physical Mailing feature is now available for all of our accounting integrations – VMS, Asyst, C3, Caliber, QuickBooks Online, TOPS, and Vantaca. Through this feature, you will be able to generate PDF letters and upload them to a third-party solution such as SouthData.

Improve reach with flexible sending options:
- Choose between sending a letter to residents’ unit address or mailing address.
- Flexible mailing options empower you to reach every resident. Send to:
- All residents irrespective of their communication preferences.
- Residents who are not already receiving any digital communications.
- Limit sending physical mail to one letter per unit.
- Choose to send your mail via Standard or Certified US mail.

- Upload your own header and footer in the PDF letters.
- Automatically include a return address.
- Preview your letterhead before generating your PDF letters.

- Preview the PDF letter to make sure it’s of your liking before sending it out.
- Save time by sending email, phone, text, and generating PDF letters all at the same time.
- Create reusable templates for PDF letter generation so you can save time.
- Pilera’s advanced segmentation capabilities give you even more ways to customize your recipients. Segment your physical mailing efforts by unit and people-based distribution groups; send by occupant type; or by a specific street, floor, building, or unit.
New address update capabilities
Managers can now sync unit address changes from their accounting system to Pilera, stress-free. Previously, any changes to the unit address when synced to Pilera would result in data loss in the resident account such as associated work orders, violations, or other tickets. Now, when a manager makes changes to the unit address in their accounting system like unit name, building, and street name, there will not be any data loss. This enhancement is now available for all of our accounting integrations.

Resident Portal updates
Residents can now view closed rule violations in the resident portal.

New Features
Improved workflow for Communications and a brand new look!
We’ve redesigned the Send Announcement and Send Message pages to improve workflow, remove distractions, and save time. These features still function the same way but with some new quality of life improvements.
Here’s how the new changes will make sending announcements and messages easier:
Better workflow
When you’re sending a message, you already have the type of message and recipients in mind. In the previous layout, you’d start entering in the content first and then who you’re sending it to. We’ve redesigned the layout to make your workflows more efficient. In the new layout, you’ll now find the type of message and recipients at the forefront.
Declutter your workspace
The previous layout displayed everything on one page. The new layout automatically displays the content editors based on the type of messages you want to send. For example, if you select text and email, the page automatically adjusts to show only those content editors that you need. This new improvement lets you focus on the task on hand, thus only showing you relevant fields.

Physical mailing for Jenark and standalone clients – coming soon!
Pilera clients who are either standalone or use Jenark as their accounting platform will soon be able to generate PDF letters to send physical mail to their community.
How the new physical mailing feature will improve your communication efforts:
- Flexibility – Choose between sending a letter to residents’ unit address or mailing address.
- Reach every resident – Customize your recipients to improve your outreach efforts. Send a letter to all residents irrespective of their communication preference, send to residents not receiving any electronic communications, or limit sending to one letter per unit.

Note: The physical mailing is currently in Beta for a subset of our clients. We will be gradually rolling out this new feature to our Jenark and standalone clients.
Enhancement
New community filter in Templates
Previously, the templates page would only display the templates across all communities. Now, the new community dropdown allows you to filter templates by a specific community. It also now detects that you are in a specific community and automatically assigns a new template you create to that community.
