This month, we’re thrilled to introduce the new community import validator feature, making it a breeze for standalone clients to validate their community setups with Pilera. Plus, don’t miss the enhancements to our Event Calendar that will simplify managing your community events! Keep reading to learn more about these new enhancements.
New Feature
Introducing the New Community Import Validator
We’re making it easier than ever for standalone clients to validate their community data prior to the import process. Now, you can upload a spreadsheet with occupant data and addresses, map the fields, and validate the data. The import process begins with a spreadsheet template that we’ll provide to you to fill in your community data. At the end of the validation process, our tool will provide you with a spreadsheet that you can send to us to complete the final import.
With our new community import validator, you can:
- Upload data like resident names, emails, user types, phone numbers, addresses, and ownership percentages.
- Import onsite managers.
- View and fix a list of all errors directly within the validator.
- Search by unit, resident name, email address, address, or phone number.
- Identify invalid email addresses and phone numbers.
- Download an Excel spreadsheet of your import along with errors.
This new feature is currently available in beta, and we’re excited to bring you more updates as we continue to enhance it based on our client’s feedback!
Improvements
Event Calendar
We’ve made several enhancements to our Event Calendar feature to improve the experience for both your team and your residents.
- Events now show who created them in the details section, improving transparency.
- When sending an email notification from the event calendar, you’ll now see a confirmation that the email was sent.
- We’ve added tooltips to display the full titles of events in the community calendar, making it easier to get information at a glance.
- We’ve made improvements to the appearance of event calendars when you embed them on the community website.
- We’ve improved the calendar’s usability on mobile devices for a smoother experience on the go.
- We’ve spruced up the appearance of the event calendar bricklet in the dashboard that we released last month.

Communications
This month, we’ve added some new enhancements to our communication feature.
- There’s a new bricklet in the manager dashboard that showcases the most recent replies from residents, staff, and vendors. Now, you can more easily track who has responded to you right from the dashboard.
- We’ve also refined the confirmation message that appears when you’re about to delete a template.
Forms
- Managers and board members can now view samples of Pilera’s forms feature under the Resources tab. Pilera’s forms feature enables communities to create forms for any need, such as surveys, sales request forms, or amenities. Create your own questions and see the results instantly. General improvements
- We’ve improved the usability of the start and end dates on the lease expiration reports page.
- Easily manage the document library from under the Settings tab.
- Check out our Help Section for a direct link to Pilera University on YouTube, where you can explore product tours, tutorials, and webinars.

Fixes
- We’ve corrected an issue where management conversation threads weren’t displaying properly in unit ticket details.
- We’ve fixed an issue where board member links on the bricklet didn’t display the email address when the email client opened.
- We’ve resolved an issue that prevented editing unit weights once it was added.
