Property Management and the Holiday Spirit
Happy holidays! Celebrations are in full swing as we make our way through Hanukkah and into Christmas and then to New Year’s. As a property manager, are you getting into the holiday spirit? If not, here are a few ideas to make the season festive!
Decorations. This can be a tricky one, especially if you manage a large property with residents of different faiths and beliefs. But even the most subtle decorations — some lights, a wreath on the door, a poinsettia or two — can really brighten things up.
Holiday parties. Again, you need to be mindful of being all-inclusive, but a get-together with residents that has good food, holiday music, and a fun game or two can be a great way to bring people together for the holidays.
Shopping trips. Some properties hire shuttle buses to take groups of residents holiday shopping. If you’re really looking to impress your tenants, what could be better than a trip to the mall where they don’t have to worry about driving or finding a place to park?
Treats. Having some holiday cookies or candy available in the management office will make you popular, but putting together a small treat basket and leaving one for each of your residents will make you really popular!
